CIP – SIP – DIP

The CIP (Cleaning in Place) concept is a fundamental part of every decontamination process.

When a CIP cycle is done in a periodical fashion (which is determined by the grade and speed of fouling) we can prevent many problems that dirt and impurities can cause, such as low performance, potential contamination and many other factors that can compromise future cleanings.

The CIP stations we build are designed from careful planning that starts with the observation of the process and cleaning needs, selecting the more appropriate alternative to fulfill the requirements, and with the cost/benefits levels that fit each case.

CIP plants with one or more tanks that contain cleaning solutions can be designed to be automatic or semi-automatic. In the automatic stations, all the critical parameters involved in the process can be monitored, controlled and registered. This way all the cleaning parameters can be adjusted and optimized at any time.

We have CIP units for food and industrial applications, and for pharmaceutical and biotechnological applications as well. The latter answer to the highest GMP design requirements.

The correct selection of every component, cleaning device and process parameter helps us guarantee a very effective and quick cleaning process. In these systems you will be able to monitor, control and register all critical parameters of the cleaning process such as:

  • CIP/SIP/DIP
  • Flow (velocity)
  • Temperature
  • Pressure
  • Time
  • Cleaning frequency

Advantages

  • Reduction of effluents
  • Reduction on the use of cleaning solutions
  • Reuse of water and cleaning solution
  • Repeatability
  • If necessary, it can include SIP (Sterilization in Place) functions

A SIP (Sterilization in Place) process is also carried out in an automated and accurate way. Furthermore, an
innovative DIP (Drying in Place) can be executed with the same unit in some specific cases.

Typical applications

  • Cleaning sterilization and drying of reactors and bins
  • Cleaning of piping and process equipment
  • Cleaning of fluid bed dryers and mixers
