Starch washing | Hydrocyclone starch washing system
- Consists of a battery of integrated cyclones arranged in enclosed housings for an efficient countercurrent washing.
- The centrifugal forces needed to make the separation are drawn from the energy supplied by the pumps. The high rotational velocities in the individual cyclones will concentrate the starch in the underflow while the suspended gluten will follow the overflow wash water stream.
- The multi-stage system provides easy and precise control of the process, resulting in uniform, high quality starch, as required in today’s highly demanding market.
